More than seventy years ago the mathematician Norbert Wiener described a principle that governs every system that holds a course — from a thermostat to a living organism. He called it feedback: to steer anything deliberately, you must constantly measure the result and correct course. Steering without feedback is driving blind.
Medicine today is largely an open loop. The doctor issues a recommendation, the patient leaves, and the system stops measuring. The signal comes back only at the next visit or at a crisis — so late that the correction is, by definition, overdue.
APOGEUM closes that loop. Continuous measurement (your diary) → analysis (AI orders the signal) → a human decision (the doctor approves the correction) → the result feeds back into measurement. Again, and again. This is Wiener's cybernetics translated into care.
And the image that forms behaves the way good knowledge behaves: it updates. Every new observation is evidence that sharpens what is already known — this is Bayesian logic, the mathematics of learning from experience. The more you say, the truer your image becomes.
